Centrifugal Pumps Used in the Hydronics Industry Seminar
The Mechanical Contracting Industry Council of New Jersey is pleased to invite you to attend the seminar on Centrifugal Pumps used in the Hydronics Industry that will be held on Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 4:00PM – 9:00PM (dinner will be provided) at the APA Hotel Woodbridge, “formerly The Woodbridge Hilton” 120 Wood Avenue South, Iselin, New Jersey. (Exit 131A Northbound or Exit 131 Southbound off the GSP).
This seminar will be presented by David Mackay. Dave grew up in this business, first trained by his dad who was a steamfitter and following in his father’s footsteps working with Local 274 at the age of 18. Dave holds a BS degree in Mechanical Contracting. Dave went on to become a licensed New Jersey State Master Plumber in 1981. He eventually went to work for a Manufacturers Rep firm in NJ as a Sales Representative of boilers. In doing so, he further honed his skills in radiant & control systems and he always enjoyed sharing his knowledge in the field with his customers. Dave’s an Associate Member of ASHRAE since 1974, full member of ASPE and in 2008 was the Garden State Chapter of NAOHSM “2008 Educator of the Year”. He currently works for Wallace Eannance Associates, Inc.
Registration is limited to two attendees per member company and will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis.
This Seminar Will Cover the Following
- Review of Types: End Suction, Double Suction, In-line, Wet Rotor and Boosters How Centrifugal
- Pumps work (or do not work)?
- What they need from the system?
- Where they go?
- How to tell what they are doing?
- How to select them: Seals, RPM, type? Common installation mistakes Commissioning
- Maintenance
A fifty dollar ($50.00) show up charge is required for each attendee; this will be returned to those in attendance.
